There's a new survey [1] out from Frost & Sullivan that says WiMAX is pretty much ready for prime time, though it won't be drawing customers away from today's cellular and WiFi network providers anytime soon. It seems that everyone's going WiMAX--from million-dollar startups to traditional players such as Sprint, which is aiming to build out a nationwide WiMAX network. As one analyst notes, it's all about giving users and enterprises options when it comes to faster and cheaper connections. But what options are companies looking for today? Increased stability and security or cheap connectivity for wireless services? Will your enterprise look for WiMAX when it rolls into the neighborhood? Write and let me know [2] and I'll share your feedback with readers next week. -Judy [3]
