That locked Treo smartphone might not be as secure as you think, according to a recently published report from Symantec. The security advisory says that keyboard shortcuts and the "Find" functionality can call up personal data from databases and documents even if the system password is in use. As a security measure, Symantec recommends that all critical data on the phone be encrypted, since no technology fix for the password workaround has been announced.
