Pegasystems acquires Antenna Software, a cloud-based mobile app development platform
Business software firm Pegasystems acquired cloud-based mobile application development platforms provider Antenna Software--a move designed to enable enterprise IT clients to deliver improved customer experiences across multiple operating systems and devices. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Antenna's platform-as-a-service enables business clients to reduce the development time, deployment costs and management challenges associated with mobile apps, simplifying tasks like software integration and security.
Pegasystems said it will absorb Antenna's platform into its existing business process management and customer relationship management solutions, translating to improvements like faster time-to-market, increased flexibility in end-to-end app development and expanded app and device management options.
"Traditional mobile technology can lead to separate channel-specific applications, which hamper customer service and efficient operations," said Pegasystems founder and CEO Alan Trefler. "Pega's distinctive customer-centric approach to mobility enables business users and IT to create optimal customer experiences across channels and devices. We believe that mobile devices should seamlessly operate with processes and cases to drive work to be done. Pega and Antenna coming together offers our collective clients state-of-the-art mobile development, responsive UIs, device management and cloud-based backend-as-a-service."
Pegasystems supplies BPM services and solutions to more than 100 customers across dozens of industry verticals. Its Pega 7 platform supports lifecycle management, predictive and adaptive analytics, social collaboration tools and "design once, access anywhere" user experiences.
