Fujitsu taps Citrix to power overhauled MDM solution
Fujitsu is rolling out an upgraded edition of its Managed Infrastructure Service Managed Mobile solution, powered by Citrix.
Fujitsu first launched Managed Infrastructure Service Managed Mobile in 2009--the retooled solution extends its capabilities from a pure mobile device management offering to an enterprise mobility solution addressing security and compliance issues, the firm said. Its secure mail, browser and document management support is optimized across all mobile apps, web apps and Windows apps, and spans all mobile devices, PCs and Macs.
Fujitsu also offers unified app store access integrating enterprise and public app marketplaces.
Building on Citrix's XenMobile Enterprise mobility management platform enables Fujitsu to integrate all facets of Managed Mobile under a single optimized infrastructure, instead of relying on multiple vendors. The solution also touts integration with virtual desktop solutions, federated identity and single sign-on features, follow-me data functionality and both cloud-based and on-premise service provisioning and delivery.
"Employees can now securely access and work from anywhere, anytime and from any device with Managed Mobile from Fujitsu, while enterprise IT departments confidently maintain consistency of the corporate environment and control over data and security," said Jody Little, Fujitsu International Business' vice president of enterprise solutions.
Fujitsu will offer Managed Mobile in selected international regions starting next month. Pricing is project specific and varies by region.
