SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Granroue Inc. proudly announces the distribution and sales of SHOT NOTE memo pads in America.  After much success and the selling out of these notepads in Japan, SHOT NOTE memo pads are now available for purchase in the USA.

"More than 300,000 units of SHOT NOTE memo pads were sold within the first five months of release in Japan, along with over 100,000 SHOT NOTE apps downloaded.  These numbers far exceeded King Jim's original forecasts," said Koichi Motegi, CEO, Granroue Inc.  "We are excited to be a distributer of SHOT NOTE memo pads made by King Jim and look forward to having an even greater success here in America."

Available for purchase through Amazon.com, the SHOT NOTE memo pads can be used for scanning and storing handwritten notes in digital format on iPhones.  Instead of misplacing notes written on various memo pads, note cards, and Post-its, users can store all of them in their iPhones.  After downloading the app, with SHOT NOTE, users can tag, date, sort, organize, store, and share their electronic notes, as well as search easily and conveniently for them on the iPhone or upload to Evernote.  The SHOT NOTE application is free and available for download to the iPhone from the App Store and an app for Android phones will be coming soon.

When a user starts up the app and takes a photo of handwritten notes on SHOT NOTE paper, the app recognizes the markers in the corners and automatically compensates for picture perspective distortion, color and size, enabling the notes to fit precisely into the screen.

Granroue Inc. will debut the SHOT NOTE memo pads with a presentation at the Japan-US Innovation Awards held July 15, 2011 at Stanford University and also at the Sunbridge Tanabata event on August 5, 2011, at the Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale.
