Agito announces enterprise VoIP on iPhone
Agito Networks announced the availability of Agito Global Enterprise, which includes the company's unified communications product, the RoamAnywhere Mobility Router, to enable VoIP and UC applications over the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the BlackBerry Bold 9700.
The RoamAnywhere Mobility Router is designed to extend UC, PBX and deskphone features to mobile devices, while enabling handover between Wi-Fi, 3G and cellular networks to reduce costs for the enterprise, especially for international traveling, said the company.
Agito said the solution reduces the costs of international direct dialing, roaming and hidden overage charges and can move mobile calls away from Wi-Fi coverage to 3G cellular data networks which are paid as a flat rate rather than with voice minutes. The service also uses an automatic SSL-based Secure Remote Voice capability that requires no third-party VPN solution to secure the VoIP over 3G calls.
