Amazon trashes Apple's new iPad mini


Amazon is using its homepage to attack Apple's new iPad mini tablet and promote its own Kindle Fire HD. While Apple executives have been critical of 7-inch tablets like the Kindle Fire, with CEO Tim Cook stating "We don't think they're good products," Amazon is zeroing in on the pricing differences between the Kindle Fire ($199) and the 7.9-inch iPad mini ($329), adding the Kindle Fire also touts a sharper display, with about 216 pixels per inch as opposed to the Apple device, which boasts 163 pixels per inch.
