Apple contacting some iPhone 3GS users about battery problems
iPhone 3GS users have been complaining about premature battery draining, leading Apple to contact an undisclosed number of customers to get first-hand reports about what might be causing the problem, according to users on Apple's forums and the iPhone Blog enthusiast site. Since the iPhone 3GS was released in June, discussion boards have been bombarded with complaints about the phone's battery. Users complain that their battery drains while the phone is in standby mode. Others complain that the device quickly drains after sending some text messages and emails, despite just charging the battery. Article
