AppMobi launches HTML5-based 'Boom Town' on iOS, Android and Facebook

AppMobi is launching HTML5-based game Boom Town simultaneously across the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android and Facebook platforms.

Built in six weeks using the ImpactJs game engine and a single HTML5 code base, the Wild West-themed Boom Town challenges players to build the largest town possible before running out of space on the game board. The title leverages appMobi's appSync cloud service to make in-progress games and achievements available across any supported platform; deep Facebook integration enables single sign-in, viral invites and gameplay updates.

Boom Town relies heavily on appMobi's playMobi cross-platform development, deployment and monetization services. PlayMobi--based on the TapJs game hosting platform, which appMobi acquired last year--includes appMobi's 1Touch in-app payment system, which automatically completes transactions using the correct in-app-purchase backend system based on the device in use. PlayMobi also features support for interactive leaderboards and badges using Facebook Connect, and it provides tools to create and manage leaderboards, game achievements and player analytics.

Boom Town is available as a free download on Facebook and from Apple's App Store, Google Play and Google's Chrome Store. AppMobi adds the title will soon be available via the Amazon Appstore for Android, Nook App Store and Intel's AppUp storefront.
