BlackBerry (NASDAQ:BBRY) is rolling out the latest version of its Facebook (NASDAQ:FB) social networking application, highlighted by a series of new photo uploading, viewing and organizing features.

The free Facebook v10.2.0 for BlackBerry 10 enables users to create albums from the photos page, making it easier to sort and share images. Users may also upload subsequent photos to specific albums and tag people in existing pictures. "Easily toggle between all your photos and Albums," adds BlackBerry Blog Manager Donny Halliwell. "All photos comprises all the photos with you in them. Album photos are photos you have uploaded yourself."

The refreshed Facebook for BlackBerry also touts a redesigned newsfeed introducing new visual tweaks to improve navigation.

BlackBerry last overhauled its Facebook app in late March, introducing Friends Nearby, which allows users to see when their contacts have checked in at locations in their immediate vicinity. Users may also add tags to photos, save images locally on their BlackBerry 10 device, view and respond to events and share links from their Facebook News Feed via BlackBerry Messenger, email, SMS and Twitter.

Facebook's total mobile monthly active users grew from 488 million to 751 million in the first quarter of 2013, a year-over-year increase of 54 percent. Its mobile-only MAUs also increased to 189 million, up from 157 million in the previous quarter.
