Box launches Notes collaboration platform, iOS and Android support planned
Productivity solutions firm Box unveiled Box Notes, a new collaboration platform enabling teams and businesses to securely capture and share ideas in real time.
Box Notes enables users to document information within the existing Box framework. Content added to the Notes editing interface is available immediately to designated collaborators and filed alongside related documents in Box's enterprise-grade cloud. User profile photos indicate which colleagues are currently collaborating on the project, complete with support for in-line edits, annotations and feedback.
Box will soon debut Box Notes for mobile, which will integrate with its existing applications for Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS and Google's (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android. Additional enhancements will include rich media embeds and offline editing. Users may sign up for the limited private beta here.
Box serves more than 20 million individuals and 180,000 businesses, including Procter & Gamble, Discovery Communications and AutoTrader Group.
