Report: Worldwide mobile workers to exceed 1 billion by 2011
Research firm IDC predicts that some 1.2 billion workers will be using enterprise mobility tools by 2011, a number that represents about one third of the total workforce worldwide. The firm forecasts that the U.S. market will continue to lead in terms of the number of mobile workers. It predicts 75.5 percent of workers will be mobile by 2011. The European market is predicted to grow much slower, unable to surpass the United States in total mobile workers until at least 2013. Press release
