If you weren't quite convinced that WiFi Voice over Internet (VoIP)phones are here to stay, you just have to take a good look at some market numbers recently released by Infonetics. The global WiFi VoIP phone market spiked 76 percent this year, hitting $102.5 million in revenue. That's clearly just the start--the research firm expects that number to at least double in the coming year as more VoIP deployments take place. The big surprise is that North American business isn't the top leader right now--more than 50 percent of dual-mode WiFi cellular handset revenue is coming from the Asian market. - Judy
