According to a recent study, many of us still see cell phone users as rude, loud, obnoxious and ignorant. Apparently, we're all also very addicted to our mobile toys. The survey, conducted by the Pew Research Center, Associated Press and AOL of about 1,000 people, found that four-out-of-five users always have the phone on, and one-in-10 know their wireless behavior has been annoying; they've gotten that icy stare we all give to those yelling "can you hear me now" or "is anyone there" several times over. One of the more surprising survey results is that nearly half of those polled believe the cell phone can get even more useful. Among other things, they want to see IM and maps on the phone. The study results (pdf) are pretty interesting--check them out if you've got time. - Judy
