Don't let anyone try to tell you that the boom in wireless technology and mobility needs is slowing down or even stalling. A new research report indicates just the opposite--with WiMAX equipment sales spiking 48% in the first quarter of this year, and  WLAN sales increasing by 8%. According to Infonetics Research, the industry is on the cusp of a huge financial boom worldwide WLAN equipment revenue predicted to increase to $3.8 billion in 2009. And much of that growth is being driven on the business level with the sales of enterprise WLAN equipment hitting $282 million in the same financial quarter thanks to growth in WLAN switches and controllers.
