Flipboard unveils curated mobile video features, tops 20M users
Flipboard (named a FierceWireless Fierce 15 award winner last year) brings together stories, photos, news and updates from across multiple content platforms and social networks, leveraging a swipe-based user interface that draws inspiration from the look and feel of traditional print publications. The new video pages, powered by YouTube channels, include Cooking TV (featuring how-to clips and recipes), Influencer TV (discussions and presentations from innovators and creative thinkers), Music TV (promotional clips and live concert footage) and Catwalk TV (fashion trends and designer spotlights) alongside segments devoted to headline news and science. All channels are accessible via the new TV Sections menu within Flipboard's Content Guide.
Flipboard now features content from more 2,000 partners, including The New York Times, the Associated Press, ABC News, CBS News, NPR and Food Network.

Flipboard first launched on Apple's iPad in July 2010. Two years later, the app now boasts 20 million total users and 1.5 million daily users, adding a new user every second of the day. In addition, Flipboard averages 86 minutes per user per month, generating 3 billion page flips every 30 days.
