Forrester: IBM, Accenture, Infosys top list of enterprise mobility service providers
IBM (NYSE: IBM), Accenture (NYSE: ACN) and Infosys are the leading providers of enterprise mobility services, according to "The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Mobility Services, Q1 2013" report.
The three companies have "strong capabilities across user experience, process consulting development, and end-to-end capacity to support clients across a broad spectrum of mobility needs," judged the report.
The firms have strong positions in enterprise applications, social, cloud, analytics and other areas that "take mobility from a standalone discipline to a transformation investment for clients," the report said.
IBM is strong in the banking, healthcare and distribution segments, while Accenture has expertise in m-commerce, machine-to-machine communications, and healthcare. Infosys is strong in mobile-based sales force automation and enterprise workforce productivity apps.
Last November, IBM announced the expansion of its enterprise mobility offerings in the areas of mobile IT strategy planning and execution, mobile data analytics, mobile app development and deployment, mobile social media and mobile device access control.
Enterprise mobility service providers design, develop and support mobile applications and enterprise mobility strategies. McKinsey & Co. predicted last year that the mobile software and services market would generate $130 billion in revenue by 2015.
