A new report from Forrester Research warns that enterprises are drastically underestimating the number of workers that will require some form of mobile support. The problem has to do with a growing segment of workers who might not be defined as mobile workers in the traditional sense, yet want access to corporate applications while on the go. Often called "mobile wannabes," this group is estimated at about 6 percent of all employees, but expected to jump to 25 percent as Smartphones continue to increase in prevalence, and younger, tech-savvy workers enter the workforce. At the end of the day, Forrester pegs the number of employees that will be mobile--in some capacity--at 73 percent by 2012.
