Three months after acquiring Nik Software, the developer behind iOS photo-sharing application Snapseed, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) has released a version of the service optimized for its own Android mobile operating system. Snapseed for Android includes Instagram-like photo filters, tools for straightening and cropping images and Control Point technology for selective enhancements--for example, brightening a face or deepening the color of the sky. In addition, Snapseed users may now share their photos to the Google+ social network as well as Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), Twitter and Flickr. Snapseed for Android and iOS are both free downloads. Blog
