How to boost wireless network prowess
It's still likely considered on the cutting-edge at this point, but deploying a mesh network is growing in popularity. If you're looking to roll one out in an effort to cut wireless costs, you should learn how to get the most out of the effort before you begin implementation. To recap, a mesh network boasts two key attributes: It includes routing algorithms that let data find the fastest and most secure route between the network and the server, and the access points and routers can be wireless instead of hardwired. To stay up on mesh networking, one good strategy is to keep track of what some vendors are doing to push the technology ahead. Cisco recently announced a centrally controlled mesh architecture and access points, for example. The beauty of mesh is that it can reduce costs of deploying wireless technologies and, ultimately, the cost of access.
