Wireless Infrastructure

It sounds simple enough: You've built a good solid wireless network and now all you want to do is make sure your users can share and access different data sets and devices using the shiny new infrastructure. But there are more than a few things you need to know, and a couple of others that you need to do, to make it happen without compromising the data's security and the network's integrity. First, make sure everything and everyone is using 802.11g multiple-in, multiple-out (MIMO) technology. It'll provide faster and more stable access.

Then you need a good router and encryption technology in place for ensuring security isn't left with any gaping holes. Then it's time to start mapping out the actual sharing capabilities. With Windows XP, the first step is making sure all the PCs and devices are now part of the WAN. Then it's time to define what can be shared and what cannot. In the XP world it's easier than you imagine it would be.
