Infographic: Healthcare pros use mobile devices in a big way

Tools

Healthcare professionals are increasingly using mobile devices at work, according to survey data contained in an infographic prepared by Samsung Business and published on Forbes.com.

According to survey cited in the infographic, 80 percent of doctors are willing to use tablets at work, 69 percent of healthcare providers use mobile devices to view patient data, 69 percent of clinicians use corporate-provided smartphones and 43 percent of healthcare staff use tablets designed specifically for healthcare.

Of course, Samsung Business has an interest in highlighting mobile device use in healthcare because it offers products for that market. Still, it is surprising to see such high use of mobile devices by healthcare professionals considering the strict patient information regulations contained in HIPAA and other federal regulations.
