Leaked: Additional information on new Palm smartphone
Additional information about the soon-to-debut Palm smartphone, which will run the new Nova operating system, has been leaked. It's expected to launch on Thursday (tomorrow) at CES, and will sport a slide-out QWERTY keyboard with a portrait-oriented touchscreen. As can be expected in this day and age, it will come with full media playback and the standard suite of functionalities such as email, calendar and contact.
I wrote about the up-coming Nova OS earlier, and I asked if Palm will be three times as lucky and somehow manage another miracle out of its mission to revolutionize the landscape. Honestly, it does seem rather unlikely at this point, though investment firm Elevation Partners had enough faith to pump another $100 million into Palm just last month. We'll certainly have more on the new Palm in the next edition of FierceMobileIT.
