Mobclix acquires iPhone app analytics service Heartbeat

Mobile advertising exchange Mobclix announced its acquisition of software firm Enormego's Heartbeat, a cloud-based SaaS enabling developers to track their premium iPhone application revenues, usage statistics, reviews and rankings. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Mobclix, the Heartbeat solution is presently used in close to 3,000 App Store applications, and its real-time analytics dashboard tracks about 10 percent of the total iPhone/iPod touch market. Mobclix adds that developers can now view Heartbeat sales analytics data side-by-side with Mobclix revenue data, promising a comprehensive, streamlined toolkit to help them make better business decisions.

Mobclix introduced its analytics platform in mid-2008, timed with the launch of Apple's App Store. The firm recently said it now enjoys roughly 85 percent penetration across the iPhone/iPod touch platform.
