Mobile app analytics firm Flurry closes $15 million Series C round
Mobile application analytics provider Flurry closed a $15 million Series C financing round led by Menlo Ventures, with existing investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, InterWest, First Round Capital and Union Square Ventures also participating. Flurry's smartphone application analytics, promotion and monetization platform spans more than 60,000 applications across iOS, Android, Blackberry and J2ME--the firm now tracks more than 5 billion anonymous, aggregated end-user application sessions from over 100 million unique devices each month. In addition, more than 30 million unique users have viewed Flurry's AppCircle application recommendation engine, translating to millions of app downloads.
Flurry states the new funding will support efforts to expand the reach of its Flurry Analytics and AppCircle services across mobile operating systems including iOS and Android. In addition, the firm plans to increase its sales and marketing initiatives and develop new services designed to improve in-app mobile advertising engagement.
