Now that Disney has secured the Star Wars franchise, it has decided to take it mobile with a new free-to-play mobile game called Star Wars: Commander, The New York Times reports. The game is aimed at the "midcore" game players--"people interested in a more in-depth experience than offered by a Candy Crush Saga but less time-consuming and expensive than a Call of Duty." Disney is hoping that the mobile game will bolster its struggling Disney Interactive unit, the newspaper notes. Read more.

Citrix saw nearly 100 percent year-over-year revenue growth for its enterprise mobility business in the first half of 2014, reports Infotech Lead. More than 80 percent of Citrix's mobile platform sales in the first half came from its XenMobile Enterprise product. Recent customers include Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System, San Diego County Sheriff's Department, and an unnamed leading bank in the U.S., the report notes. Read more.
