Facebook will pay a staggering $19 billion in cash and stock for mobile messaging startup WhatsApp, Reuters reports. The transaction involves $4 billion in cash, $12 billion in stock and $3 billion in restricted stock. WhatsApp has more than 450 million users, many of whom are teens. Data security startup Bluebox launched a mobile app wrapping product that provides security at the document level, reports eWeek. The product provides IT managers with a dashboard that can manage and secure data on mobile apps. "As data goes in and out of an application protected by Bluebox, the enterprise gets visibility into seeing what happens with a document, as well as the ability to revoke or delete the document," Sima said. AT&T said it is adding features to its AT&T Toggle mobile workspace management product for BYOD users and app developers. Among the new features: "Toggle Voice employees can now have a separate phone number to make and receive business calls and check business voicemail; Toggle Data allows businesses to give employees who are subscribers to certain AT&T wireless services plans a fixed amount of data for use on their personal devices; the ability to monitor estimated data usage within the Toggle workspace; [and] the option for businesses to extend VPN capabilities from several vendors to AT&T Toggle and related applications." Seattle-based enterprise mobility management firm NetMotion is expanding internationally by setting up an office in the United Kingdom and increasing capital and human resources investments globally. The firm focuses on providing EMM solutions to companies with a large field-based workforce that relies on mobile data, such as telecom carriers, utilities and airlines. The company's new U.K. headquarters will be led by Erik Helms, general manager for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the rest of the world. "We have started a deliberate expansion into Europe and Latin America. We look to solve the same set of mobility challenges internationally as we do in North America," Helms tells FierceMobileIT.

To address the reputation of Glass users as "Glassholes," Google has published a guide to Glass-etiquette. Glass users should not "Glass-out," advises Google. "If you find yourself staring off into the prism for long periods of time you're probably looking pretty weird to the people around you." In addition, Glass users should not "be creepy or rude," says Google. "Respect others and if they have questions about Glass don't get snappy.
