Nokia delays release of business-oriented E7 smartphone
Mobile-phone giant Nokia announced it has delayed shipments of its new E7 smartphone, which is geared toward businesses, to early 2011 from the fourth quarter.
The company said it wants to ensure a good user experience. And that means the vendor will miss the key year-end shopping season.
Nokia earlier this fall announced a number of new smartphones based on an upgraded version of the Symbian platform, including the E7. Nokia has been lagging when it comes to innovation in the smartphone market.
Nokia has called the E7 the "ultimate business smartphone." The device features Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Exchange ActiveSync, a 4-inch touchscreen display that includes Nokia ClearBlack technology for improved outdoor visibility, a full keyboard and business-grade security solutions.
