Photobucket teams with Simplexity for mobile storefront

Image and video sharing solutions provider Photobucket launched a new mobile storefront featuring devices including Android and BlackBerry smartphones preloaded with the Photobucket Mobile application, along with related services and accessories. Built and managed by web retailer Simplexity, the branded Photobucket storefront will offer handsets from manufacturers including Research In Motion, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung as well as operator services like data plan upgrades. All compatible phones sold via the site will ship either with the free Photobucket Mobile app or with download instructions.

Photobucket boasts more than 100 million members worldwide, each day linking billions of photos, graphics, slideshows and videos to websites including Facebook, Blogger, MySpace and eBay. The Photobucket Mobile application, available for Android and BlackBerry as well as iPhone, enables users to interact with their online photo albums directly from their handsets--consumers can upload and download images from the Photobucket site, browse "Find Stuff" content categories and search over 7 billion photos.
