Quickoffice comes to the iPhone
Beating even Microsoft to the punch, Quickoffice Inc has announced Quickoffice for iPhone, which is now available for download via the Apple App Store. Quickoffice is the first iPhone application to enable native editing of Microsoft Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, and also comes with file-sharing and content management capabilities. Other features include access to MobileMe iDisk accounts and the ability to view iWorks, PDFs and other common media files.
David Halpin, vice president of engineering and product development at Quickoffice noted, "We leveraged years of mobile expertise by starting with code from our flagship Quickoffice suite, making Quickoffice for iPhone a high-quality application from its first release." Quickoffice for iPhone is now available for an introductory price of $19.99.
