RepliGo Server 3.1 now available
Barely a month after the launch of RepliGo Server 3.0, Cerience Corporation has rolled out a minor upgrade in the form of RepliGo Server 3.1 in time for the Wireless Enterprise Symposium 2009 this month. Among other security and usability enhancements, this upgrade adds Exchange 2007 support, the ability to access hidden shares and drives, and updated localized client software.
The RepliGo solution is touted as "the complete document solution" for the BlackBerry platform. Indeed, users are able to view documents ranging from Microsoft Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and even PowerPoint slides with complete clarity. Among others, text files such as RTF, TXT, CSV and common image files are also supported.
Having used RepliGo since last year, I can attest to the fact that the documents rendered are hardly images; they can be zoomed up to 300 percent--all while retaining the same sharpness. Users who do not have the mandatory BlackBerry Enterprise Server, or where price is a concern would probably want to check out the company's RepliGo Professional subscription offering instead.
