Once again smartphones represented the fastest-growing segment in the global mobile phone market in the second quarter, exceeding 40 million units. The number represents a 27-percent year-over-year increase. Meanwhile, worldwide sales of mobile phones fell 6.1 percent as units reached 286.1 million. Release
