Spotlight: Google unveils Gmail 2.0 for Apple mobile devices
Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) released this week Gmail 2.0 for Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone and iPad with a new look and multi-account support. The new app enables iOS users to log into up to five Gmail accounts from the menu page and tab among those accounts. The app was redesigned with a "new look and feel," explained Matthew Izatt, product manager for Gmail, in a blog. "When you search, autocomplete predictions will appear as you type, shaving off precious seconds (and typos)," he added. Other improvements include profile pictures in messages, new animations from swivels to transitions, and infinite scrolling in the message list. Read more.
