'Unlucky' firm could lose $10 million in security breach this year

Insecure mobile operating systems will continue to pose corporate security risks, as the BYOD trend accelerates, according to IT auditor Coalfire. The "lack of mobile device and mobile network security will drive protection to the data level. Expect to see a wide range of data and communication encryption solutions before you see a secure mobile OS," said Rick Dakin, chief executive officer and co-founder of Coalfire. Dakin predicts that an "unlucky" merchant, bank or service provider will experience a security breach as a result of insecure mobile OS.
