NTT DoCoMo, Japan's largest wireless carrier with 60 million subscribers, may be set to offer Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPhone in Japan, according to comments made by a company official in a recent interview. Kazuto Tsubouchi, DoCoMo's chief financial officer, told SankeiBiz that it would make good business sense for his company to reach a deal with Apple, according to a report by Apple Insider. A sticking point is Apple's refusal to allow carriers to preinstall apps and services on the iPhone, while DoCoMo is developing a "lifestyle system" that includes preinstalled apps on the phones it sells, the report noted.
