AT&T, LG Electronics announce smartphone sporting 1-GHz processor
AT&T and LG Electronics are introducing a smartphone that packs a 1-GHz processor and includes a host of features for mobile professionals.
Powered by Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5, the device, called the eXpo, will include corporate Exchange integration for email, contacts and calendar. The device will also come with support for an optional integrated pico projector that allows users to share videos, Web sites, slide shows and presentations from the device. The pocket-sized projector can project images and videos as far as eight feet.
The eXpo also includes a fingerprint recognition sensor from AuthenTec along with the standard wants from mobile professionals: a 3.2-inch touchscreen, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, assisted GPS, 3G capabilities, a 5-megapixel camera with built-in flash and a microSD slot for extra memory.
The eXpo will become available on Dec. 7 and cost $200 after a mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract. LG's mobile projector will be priced around $180 and will become available in the coming weeks.
