Security is a growing concern with anything wireless or mobile these days, as handhelds have gone far beyond serving as pure messaging devices. Mobile devices now house confidential data, and are starting to connect to internal applications for business use. So the idea of incorporating strong security technology into the phone or PDA is a good one. The latest approach is currently a handheld mobile phone device from NTT DoCoMo called P903i. Currently deployed in Japan, the phone features facial recognition to avoid unauthorized users from using or accessing the device, and it automatically locks if the user moves too far away from it. If lost, it can be found quickly through satellite navigation. Article

Nice to see NTT DoCoMo are doing a Lock+Unlock solution with an external device. It just so happens we've been touting a similar solution for the last three years.
