Vonage releases new apps to help users save on international calls

Vonage announced new apps for the iPhone, iPod touch and BlackBerry devices. Called Vonage Mobile, the free VoIP app allows users to place international calls from their mobile devices. iPod touch users can place calls via Wi-Fi, while BlackBerry users will make calls via the cellular network only and iPhone customers can place calls from Wi-Fi or through AT&T's network. Vonage said its app will help users save up to 50 percent on international calling charges levied by carriers.
