Even though it's been a few years since Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) phased out its once-ubiquitous catchphrase "There's an app for that," the sentiment is more accurate today than ever before. With roughly 700,000 applications optimized for the iOS platform in Apple's App Store and another 700,000 for Android in the rival Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Play, the mobile ecosystem has grown to the stage where there are apps for every conceivable situation, interest and idiosyncrasy.

That's not necessarily a good thing.

But a few developers push way too far, shattering the boundaries of good sense, good taste and good behavior. No one asked for these apps and no one needs these apps, but they exist anyway.
