Windows Mobile over iPhone?

There was no real comparison between the reception received by Windows Mobile 6 and Apple's iPhone. Windows Mobile didn't have nearly as much hype, but does it have anything like the functionality of the iPhone? Microsoft's Mobile and Embedded Devices Experience design center is conducting the research that it hopes will bring new user interface and function set capabilities to future versions of Windows Mobile--and since it's used on more than 120 phone models worldwide, the potential for Windows Mobile to have as significant an effect as the iPhone (or any other alternative) is certainly very real.
