Zebra Technologies on Thursday unveiled its new Software Application Services, aimed at helping organizations migrate business applications to next-gen technologies. These new services will help customers "accelerate the adoption of new mobility strategies with next generation devices and newer OS at a lower cost, with a lower risk of downtime."
Mobile healthcare communications company Vocera announced Tuesday a partnership to provide access to its Vocera Collaboration Suite on Zebra's MC40-HC Android mobile computer. The application will provide doctors, nurses and assorted medical professionals who use the MC40-HC more secure lines of communication across groups, practices and different steps of the healthcare process.
Business travelers who want to work in their hotel rooms are often frustrated by the poor quality of the Wi-Fi connection, even when they have to pay extra for it.To provide better Wi-Fi connectivity in hotel rooms, Zebra Technologies has made available a wall-mounted access point that can provide mobile broadband speeds in each room.
Zebra Technologies launched on Monday its Zebra OneCare, a portfolio of support services for its mobile computers, printers, bar code scanners, RFID devices and wireless LAN infrastructure, as well as a new managed service that provides visibility into Zebra mobile device asset and operational business performance.
Zebra Technologies has been loaded for enterprise bear since it spent $3.45 billion on Motorola Solutions' enterprise unit last October. On Tuesday, Zebra unveiled the latest weapons in its enterprise mobility arsenal-- its Mobility DNA enterprise mobility suite and two new rugged Android smartphones.
